Applications Support Analyst                  £25000

Our client is currently looking for an Applications Support Analyst; the aim of the role is to deliver a customer focused, proactive service for the assigned applications within the organisation.  To support and help develop the assigned applications, ensuring that the systems meet the business requirements of the organisation.  To work closely with the business analysis team and business users to identify practical solutions to operational issues with the applications, to mange the application of system patches, upgrades of changes to the applications.  Assist the business analysis team and users in the development of effective processes and procedures, implementing change where necessary.  To monitor performance against service standards, ensuring the delivery of excellent customer service.  Essential requirements of the position are significant experience in the support of applications in a fast moving environment, strong understanding of customer first work ethic.  Knowledge of system testing techniques and understanding of database administration.  Experience of system upgrades and excellent communication skills.  Detail Conscious – thorough in their work and follows tasks through to completion.  Checks own work and that of others for error.  Corrects mistakes quickly effectively and learns from them. An understanding of either TCO’s Office Based or Northgate’s Empower Application in a support environment would be very beneficial.  Proficient user of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.  Well organised with an ability to prioritise and manage conflicting demands effectively.  Ability to use communication style, which is appropriate to the audience.
